We are often instructed to represent clients facing investigations conducted by intelligence led forces.  Prior to its replacement by the NCA following the Legal Aid, Sentencing & Punishment of Offenders Act in 2013, the Serious Oragnised Crime Agency was the primary agency for investigations and prosecutions of serious money laundering cases.

Our clients have included executives holding the position of Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO), directors of Money Service Businesses for small and medium sized enterprises and those subject to intelligence led under-cover police operations.  We have been involved in many of the highest profile SOCA cases.   There is a dedicated 24 hour contact number available in the Contacts section of our website.  A senior lawyer is available at any time out of hours to provide emergency assistance for clients under arrest at a police station in the event of an arrest.

Morgan Rose has highly experienced lawyers to provide the representation needed in the event that private, or business premises are raided.  The removal of business IT systems and telecommunication equipment can have a catastrophic effect on business continuity and personal affairs.  Search and seizure by police, HM Revenue & Customs or the NCA can be scrutinsed by Morgan Rose to ensure that where possible, property is returned as soon as practicable, allowing business operations to continue.

General Criminal Cases

Our practice is not restricted to cases of serious or complex fraud or specialist investigation agencies.  Equally as important to our clients is help in cases where any criminal record may result in the loss of employment and a criminal record.  Having a criminal conviction or even accepting a formal caution from police can have a long lasting and detrimental impact upon visa applications for international travel, career prospects and those subject to a Regulator.  We frequently advise in a very wide range of general matters including computer misuse, possession of illegal substances, offences against the person from the minor to the most serious, sexual offences and driving cases of all descriptions.
